Isopropyl alcohol (IPA) 67-63-0 Manufacture of acetone and it's derivatives, manufacture of glycerol and isopropyl acetate, solvent for essential and other oils , alkaloids, gums, resins; latent solvent for cellulose derivatives, coatings solvent, deicing agent for liquid fuels, lacquers, extraction processes, dehydrating agent, preservative, lotions, denaturant.
Methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) 78-93-3 Solvent in nitrocellulose coatings and vinyl films, resins, paint removers, cements and adhesives, organic synthesis, cleaning fluids, printing catalyst carrier, acrylic coatings. Note: Does not dissolve cellulose acetate and most waxes.
Toluene 108-88-3 Aviation fuel and high octane blending stock; benzene, phenol, and caprolactum; solvent for paints and coatings, gums, resins, most oils, rubber, vinyl organosols; diluent and thinner in nitrocellulose lacquers; adhesive solvent in plastic toys and model aircraft; chemicals (benzoic acid, benzyl and benzoyl derivatives, saccharin, medicines, dyes, perfumes); source of toluenediisocyanates (polyurethane resins); explosives (TNT) ; toluenesulfonates (detergents); scintillation counters.
White Spirit 64742-82-1 Solvent used as a substitute for turpentine in the thinning of paints, varnishes and lacquers. Similar to stoddard solvent but not necessarily meeting all it's specifications.
